Cody Murray

Home Assessment Coordinator

Cody Murray graduated from Missouri State University in 2006 with a degree in Secondary Education. For the next eight years she taught high school business and computer courses in both the Galena and Crane School Districts.

Cody began her work in child welfare in 2013 when she was hired by the Children's Division, working in the 39th Judicial Circuit. For the first 4.5 years with the agency, Cody was a part of the licensing unit, working closely with relative and traditional foster parents. Her primary roles were to assist foster parents in working through the licensure process, assessing for child safety, and providing in-service training.

From 2018 to 2020, Cody served as a Children’s Services Supervisor in the alternative care unit, supervising alternative care case managers. In 2021, she switched avenues into clinical social work in the long-term care setting before going back to work for the Aurora School District. Cody came on board with Family Advocacy Solutions in Spring 2021 and now serves as the agency’s Home Assessment Coordinator.

An avid sports lover, Cody can often be found in the bleachers in one of the gyms across southwest Missouri. In her spare time she likes to read and binge shows on Netflix. She is a group leader for AWANA at her church and also volunteers as the Aurora Athletic Booster Club treasurer. Cody lives in Aurora with her husband, two children and one very spoiled dog.
